What You Gave Me
You gave me the chance to love like I’ve never loved before
Like a mother loves her unborn child
You gave me joy
because you were a gift
You gave me darkness
Because of the decision I had to make
You gave me weakness
‘Cause I didn’t wanna throw you away
You gave me tears
Like a river flows down a waterfall
You gave me frustration
‘Cause I hated what I had to do
You gave me death
Because a piece of me died when I realized you were gone
And even to this day
You give me goosebumps
Not cause I feel cold on the outside
But because
When I think of you my insides turn to ice
