Shoe Shopping
I’ve been trying to replace the love I got from you
Even it that means
Replacing every materialistic item I own
With something more expensive,
More recent,
better quality,
But even an empty wallet can’t fill the holes in my heart.
I’ve been trying on my lovers like shoes at the store
And none of them fit quite as good as you,
But as of lately,
I’ve been thinking
That maybe I just need to break ‘em in,
Change my shirt,
Or maybe show some skin
‘Cause it’s been a long time since I’ve had some shoes that I like.
