Horned melon
a blazing fiery spiked melon
Like the antennas of a slug
edged like the end of a stick
with an aggressive shell
Tempted to be clutched in the palm of your hand
tempted to be rugged
on your silky skin
Like sandpaper as a way to protect itself
But on the inside
It has a totally different personality
Its full of life with a bright yellow spider web Like the cotton
Holding these green gummy gushy triangles
With a seed in the center like an eye
I grabbed one of these squishy green shapes
And I felt this discomfort as soon as i set it on
My bright pink tongue I could tasty its sourness
Of the fruit bursting with flavor my mouth
Its skin protecting its little seed
Like the last cheto in the bag
It popped side to side avoiding
the the death trap of my mouth
Trying to mull it
It goes down the my throat
Like a black hole swallowing a
Huge green gas giant
Then I feel this waxy residue it leaves behind
Like the feel of a spoon full of butter
