Why War

It’s what takes our lives from us
And it’s just part of life
  But for what reason
Some say it’s a symbol of strength
  Others say it symbolizes weakness
It will take a grip on society
And we will remember it forever
  The lives that are lost
  The children without parents
The cries and screams for help
The pain of this dissolves into your skin
It’s a misery that will always live with you
A dreadful thing to even think
That a topic like this is considered good
  But it happens anyways
And we can do nothing but pray
For the soldiers who fight for us
