My sister
Coming home after a long day
With few teeth, her smile enlightens me
She wobbles over with her arms in the air, just reaching my knees
Her eyes full of joy and innocence
My Ellie
How you could make a war sweet and peaceful
All you recognized is our happiness and excitement
I love starting my day off to the sound of the gibberish you speak
Or ending my day, curled up watching your favorite movies
You lightly doze off
Until someone makes a sudden movement
You bounce off the walls
With a case of sleepy hahas
Turn into sleepy cries
Mom and Dad are consoling you
But they can’t make you laugh the way your big sister does
