Harambe
Once upon a dreary day, Janet saw Harambe.
She saw the war across the floor;
She heard a roar and searched for more.
First, she heard cheering and laughing.
Then, she heard squealing and photographing.
Then, there was a faint whisper, “I was only bored.”
When Janet arrived there was nothing but a big mob,
She knew she had an important job.
Janet was astounded by what she found
When she heard the roaring sound.
Then, there was a faint whisper, “I was only bored.”
Although the child persistently fought,
Janet still took the great shot.
Harambe laid lifeless and dead;
It was soon that the news was going to spread.
Then, there was a faint whisper, “I was only bored.”
All of Twitter went into a fluster,
Soon it will be a movie out on Blockbuster.
The man, the myth, the legend who is a great obsession
Who knew a gorilla would leave such an impression.
Then, there was a faint whisper, “I was only bored.”
