Close your eyes and dare

The eagle,
soaring through the sky
over the canyons
graceful, lithe
wings lightly flapping,
yet majestic all the same
Swooping, diving, in the pale moonlight
Silver eyes shining
But did the eagles flight come without a fight?
Or did it one day
Have to close his eyes
Glimpse down from the canyon
Body quivering, legs trembling
and dare.
