abandonment issues

everyone always told me I had no reason
to feel like everyone left me
I had never been abandoned
at least that's what they thought
but I found a boy who was my everything
and at some point
he vanished
gone out of my life
they told me I had never been abandoned
but little did they know
I was abandoned
by the one thing I called home

I fell in love with a boy who was once my best friend. And then he decided he no longer wanted to keep that title, and he left. That ruined me. I spent three years trying to keep everyone close so they wouldn't leave me like he had. And everyone asked why I was so scared of being abandoned, when it had never happened before. It had. I was homeless.
