Walking on Broken Glass
We are all made of glass
Breakable
Irreplaceable
Once we break we are never the way we were
“ maybe some glue would hold”
Life is a battlefield
People dropped like flies
Broken and shattered
My feet hurt from walking on the glass filled earth
The shards biting at my feet
Blood seeping from my soles
A young girl standing near
Saw me walking over the broken glass
And she warned me about helping broken people
For I may hurt myself on their broken pieces
