A Coat of Paint
My life is a coat of paint
Something bad has happened
It is painted in a coat of black
When something good happens
A coat of white appears over the black words
Even with multiple coats of pain
The black still shows
The only way to cover up the black
Is to have a darker coat of black
Over all the coats
But then it’s a repeated process
Constantly new coats of paint are being colored over our life
But the bad thing will stay
Until something so much more horrible
Will cover it

I wrote this when I was thinking about painting. I still love this poem.
