My Day
They day starts half past eight --
A sharp ringing of an electronic bell,
And so the monotony beings.
The morning is full of difficulty:
College level AP classes abound.
Calculus comes first, math mixed with exhaustion,
Then to Spanish, confusion and misunderstanding,
Choir follows with frustration and irritation
Finally to English, a relative bright point
After comes lunch and a much needed break.
From there my trial continues.
Apologetics first, an endless debate
Next is government, complex and timely
Last is biology, more confusion and chemistry
After all this is done, I can run
To a place free from textbooks and challenges,
A simple and relaxing place,
A place I call home.
