The death of a dog
We don't hear,
The pitter patter,
of your feet,
anymore.
Nor do we feel,
The nudging of your nose,
When you want to be petted.
We don't want to feel pain,
But how is that possible,
When your not here.
After school,
There's no one,
We have to let out.
Home alone,
There's no one,
To keep me company.
You didn't even,
Make a sound,
When they put you down,
When you were never,
Coming back.
When you were gone,
There was no happiness,
Just tears,
Rolling down our faces.
That day wishing,
You would come back,
But you didn't,
You were gone,
Forever.
