in the heat of night

in the heat of night
when things come undone
you know not what you do
but you feel so loved
but of the chains that are holding you down
holding you in place
you don't know how to escape
you don't know the key is right next you constantly believe the key is somewhere else
so much pain
so much heartache
because you can't hold the one you love so dearly
it breaks you and tears your heart into pieces
and then you see and realize the key... the key is right there next to you
but you think and you feel so comftorable
you became so comtorable in your despair
