It was simple
We laugh.
We banter.
All eyes drawn to us,
but we don't notice.
In our own little world,
as we smile and talk.
And the questions rise:
"Are you together?"
"Do you like him?"
But I can't answer,
Because I don't know.
My answer has to be no.
I mean, that's the rule. I made it.
"No dating."
It sounded so simple back then.
But now, I ask:
"Do I like him?"
"Can I risk it?"
I know it's supposed to be "no".
But,
is it?
