Our Stars
Shooting stars graze our frozen eyes
Its bright glow remains in yours while it slithers out of mine
The harsh darkness grows upon us, but your light keeps me alive
Humid summer air brushes against our pale skin
But our senses are absorbed in the night sky
slow breathes create a melody with the wild thumping of our hearts
Each warm exhale contains a red teardrop of innocent love.
Our minds whirl together in an endless circle
Thoughts bounce off one another, but mine all start and end with you
Our masks are torn off, all I see is the naked beauty nestled within.
With our hands interlocked, our hearts intertwined
Time became numb, we would savour this moment on the tip of our tongues
Sitting under the moonlit sky
Staring into each other's eyes and the bright stars that lie within them.
