Fire Has Never Tasted So Sweet
She twisted fate into smiles
Carried knives like flowers
She took her blood with milk and sugar
And kept teeth sharp with love letters
They called her temptress
and chased her for years
unsure if they wanted to
kill her or f*** her
She washed her clothes in blood
Fed her lamb a lion’s heart
She made the devil dance
And had diamonds for fingernails
She called herself God
and chased lives for eternity
After all, who else could be so
cruel dressed in honey?
