Acidic Euphoria
The water lapping up around your ankles,
then retreating peacefully back into the
cavernous depths that withhold it,
taking with it secrets and tales of ages long before the era of man,
the living rock whispering softly in your ear,
as the breeze carries it conversation gently away,
The abrupt sound of wailing children sends shivers up your spine,
disturbing you from your wildest dreams,
and placing your soul back into a reality that withholds your presence,
for you are as the water,
held prisoner by a fate you can never escape.
and slowly decaying in a life where your born to die.

Personally to me, acidic euphoria is the meaning that all good things must have an end, and that, no matter how hard, everyone should check into reality, I think what inspired me to write this piece was my greed, for something more, something better, when, in reality, I needed to be happy, and at peace with where my life is. However, I want my readers to come to their own conclusions about my work, and how they can apply that to their life, and find their own little piece of nirvana.
