"don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and go do that because what the world needs is people who have come alive."-Howard Thurman

Thump, thump, thump,

The drum begins to beat

Thump, thump, thump,

I get out of my seat

Thump, thump, thump,

I'll give a girl a chance

Thump, thump, thump,

To join me in a dance

Thump, thump, Thump,

The sound our feet will make

Thump, thump, thump,

As we shimmy and we shake

Thump, thump, thump,

As we stomp across the floor,

Thump, thump, thump,

Til we can dance no more

I wrote this about 2 years ago. It was written at about 3 am and I was going to submit it in a poetry contest. This was partially inspired by my love for swing dancing.
