"Words are, in my not-so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it." - J.K Rowling

Sometimes I get dizzy
from the constant spin of the earth
if only it could stop for a moment
to catch my breath
settle my stomach
relieve a constant headache;

Sometimes I get sea sick
from the ebb and flow of the tides
the crash and subside of the waves;

Sometimes it grows tedious
the dance of the sun and moon
the warmth of day and chill of night;

yet life demands the resilience
to overcome constant obstacles
And find beauty in the challenge.

The author's comments:

I hoped to capture in this piece the constant battle that is living. Every day, no matter how large or small, we face obstacles that challenge who we are and threaten everything we cherish. As a result, life can become incredibly exhausting. I wanted to convey these emotions and end on a bittersweet acceptance of this reality.
