Favorite Quote:
"O Captain, my Captain Who knows where that comes from Anybody? Not a clue? It's from a poem by Walt Whitman about Mr. Abraham Lincoln. Now in this class you can either call me Mr. Keatin or if you're slightly more daring, o Captain my Captain"-TDPS

It's what we stay alive for.
We read and write it to feel that we are alive.
So let's live!
And contribute verses,
To the poem,
And to the world.
Feel alive,
Feel love,
Feel passion,
Feel joy,
Feel the pain in the writing,
Feel things you never thought you would feel.
Be a poet.
Be alive.
Oh Captain,
My Captain.
Let us join the dead poets,
Suck the marrow out of life,
Carpe that effing deim out of this life,
And let poetry live on in our blood.
In the cave,
Beyond the creek,
Let us live and thrive,
On poetry.

One of my favorite movies is The Dead Poets Society. I took small bits and pieces from the movie and made it into a poem for myself to read when I'm feeling down. It lifts me up and makes me smile hearing those great words.
