She Was A Rainbow
She cut each petal,
Red as blood,
She painted the sunset,
Orange for the sky to flood,
She loved the stars,
Yellow to end the cold nights,
She grew the grass green,
So the world would be bright,
She cried in the river,
Stained the oceans blue,
She sang to the rainstorm,
Tinted the clouds with purple dew,
And though she did all of this,
With the beauty of her mind,
He could not tell,
For he was colorblind.
