The Bee
Buzz.
He awakens.
The bee, the intern.
He straightens his antenna, irons his tie.
From the moment the sun rises until long after it sets, he works.
All day, he works,
for little honey, for little money.
Collecting the pollen for the hive—
running paperwork around the office.
Training to be the CEO,
dreaming for the days when the hive is his own.
Working as a team,
headed by the queen bee, the company lead.
The bee, the intern.
Zooming through opportunities,
hoping he doesn’t sting himself.
