Bright Light
Bright light, guiding light
Where are you now?
I need you before this fight
Nearing the town
Come help me
This is your chance
here upon this key
Give it a glance
Change your heart
Near me now
You must be smart
To hear the sound
Gun shots are fired
Hear them charge
People are getting tired
and their wounds are large
See the bright light
at the end of the day
A child flies a kite
while bodies decay.

This poem was inspired by my love of history. This poem is about a war that I learned about during my freshman year of high school. I want people to understand what people in war go through and what they do to save our country.
