A character without its story,
Like the moon without the man
And the sky without its stars.
All caused by things that once we're
And by what could have been,
But never will be.

My family and I were waiting for a rocket launch which was continuously getting postponed. I found myself thinking of the rocket launch one evening as it was beginning to cause a fair amount of mystery in my life. Not only was I, along with the rest of my family, unaware of when the rocket would be launched, but we did not know what the rocket's name was. This mystery eventually sparked the idea of the first line "A ship without its name."
