In The Forest
In the Forest
Trees are dark
Thorns are prickly
“Not safe for children!”
“Explore at your own risk!”
A path is not even remotely seen
As if the forest is hiding something
Protecting it with her life
A majestic woman she is
Guarded, walls up
Walls of poison ivy
Clawing at any civilian
Hands of prickly pines
Untouched
Raw
Murderous
Ravenous
But not without her soft spots

This poem was written outside. I was sitting on a bench, during a writing class. We had five minutes to write something about nature, so I decided to write about a forest.
I am 13 years old. I like to write a lot, and I play tennis.
