Sleep
Fog.
Running through darkness
Nothingness in sight
Bam.
The end of the oblivion I have found
Chaos flicker in my ears
Jolt.
I reach my conscience
Not my calm
I scream
Mom.
My breathing heavier
Chest tightening
Heart beating
I see myself from above
Watching.
The panic spreading
My mothers grip waking me
Nightmare.

I wrote this poem about a nightmare I used to frequently have as a child. The after effects of the dream put me into a state I am still unable to explain.
