I remember when we didn’t care what anyone thought
I remember when we did things because we wanted to
I remember when we climbed trees
I remember when you took me for hikes around the lake at night
And to Dairy Queen in the pouring rain for a banana split
I remember when we sat on my roof and watched a storm climb over the mountains
I remember when we fell in love with music
I remember our walks
I remember our talks
But for the life of me I can’t remember
Why you left me behind
