My Life
I have seen things
Fighting, war, love and friendship just to name a few
Things that will always stay in the back of the mind
No matter how old I grew.
I have touched things
Kittens and baby birds
Deadly snakes and lizards,
Life and Death in the palm of my hands.
I have been to places
New Jersey, Virginia, Delaware
Jordan, Palestine, Israel
Places so close yet so far.
I have lost things
Papers, pencils, hair ties, socks
Family, trust, friends, courage
Too many things to remember, too many things to care
I have stories to tell
Some good, some bad
And hopefully one day I will tell you,
The things that I have I have witnessed.
