Her fair skin, vivid.

Pure like pumice
Her hair a mild offense.
Her sparse soul of tenacity
A mortal in disguise

Abandonment is taboo
Her mother,
Envious and dark
Restraint is a virtue
Tint of vintage,
But barely there

Pattern, balance, pace
Faded lights over the pacific
Abstract strategies
Coping with
Artistry

Shadowy and vague
Unspoken
Her absence,
A threat
Come home at night

The author's comments:

This poem is my "crazy translation" of a poem from Italian. Crazy translation is taking a poem in a language I don't know and creating an imagined translation of the poem. The result is an original poem with cool images I might not have otherwise come to. I like this process and I hope you like my poem.
