Sunset of the Eastern Sky
Like the palette of the Almighty,
with strokes of navy blues,
and crimson and orange hues,
the brilliant yellow sunset sky,
boasts its strength and glory,
and while artists paint the masterpiece,
I glance at the Eastern sky,
at its unsung beauty,
so pale and somber,
painting the sky with blue and grey,
and a hint of violet spray,
the dark shadows of the clouds,
like lashes hiding the twilight moon,
looking at its western sky,
watching the gold sinking,
as the silvers rise.
