How to Make Me Never Forget You... Even if I Want To

Stop responding to me with no good reason,
but then come back months later acting like nothing changed.
Ignore my text the next day,
but stare at me a little too long in passing the day after.
Contact me late at night, say all the things you know I want to hear,
even if you don’t mean them.
Then ask me to “chill”, never saying exactly what that means,
but we both know what you really mean.
But there’s still hope for something more, right?
Wrong.
See that is the most important one, always leave me wondering what if.
