The Universe
You gave me the universe, stars and all
From planets to comets to solar systems, the entirety was all mine
You gave me everything you had with all of your hopes in me
Oh, how you were wrong
I am the black hole you’ve always feared.
I am the black hole. The empty void. The nothingness.
My hands were not enough for the planets, the comets, the solar systems
I watched it all slip away through the gaps in my fingers
I watched it all slip away in the void
You could have picked a star, but, mistakenly, you picked the black hole
