Empty
She looks at herself
time and time again,
yet she doesn't know who she is.
In front of her floor length mirror,
she sees the same brown eyes,
but something is gone.
The happy smile lines,
slowly faded from her mouth.
The shimmering in her eyes,
slowly faded to a dull brown.
Even her tan skin,
lightened to a pale, sickly color.
She cries in silence every night,
not knowing what went wrong.
Someone stole her future,
she'd never see it again.
There was a cloud blocking her sun,
realizing as she stands there,
it's nothing but an empty mirror.
