Boys Cry Too
Women have it rough
Too fat, too skinny
Be tall, not short
Women have standards
That they must live up to
But there are certain things
That MEN just don’t do
Don't cry, don’t be a sissy
Man up, don’t throw a hissy
Go to the gym, you have to look like him
Don’t be insecure, you're acting like a girl
Don’t go in that bathroom, boys don’t hurl
Boys don’t get sad, they just get mad
Fight him if you're a man, only use your hands
Don’t talk about your feelings
What are you, a f*****?
Don’t talk about your emotions, just bag it
Boys cry too
But I guess its Folie a deux
Because not one is to blame
For these stereotypes we claim.

I was really inspired to write this piece after watching a documentary on masculinity.
