You're not here and I thought it was not fair
I didn't understand why God couldn't share
I cried that morning
All the way to school
Then I got dropped off and had to play it cool
My eyes were puffy and my chest was tight
Why did you have to leave me that night
I didn't get a warning, no chance to say goodbye
But now I know you wouldn't have wanted me to cry
