Untouched
She dances with ease and passes with haste,
And I just let her move
I did nothing but just sit and wait,
Hoping she would see it through.
For little did I know back then, it was I who had to act,
But frozen in fear and blinded by doubt, I just let her pass.
In this prison I created I sat, feeling trapped,
Alone, dark, and a little too late, I reached out and I grasped
The ends of her red dress I caught, but they too fell through the cracks.
So now I’m telling you, not to make the same mistake
Make use of all of her you have, it is never as much as you think
Do not make excuses, because in the end they’re not enough
Get up and go dance with her
Do not leave any wish untouched.
