Garden
You seek the shelter that I supply
Destroying with an intent to build as you
Conquer every Goliath of pine
That once stood staunchly upon this garden of mine
You seek the fruition of spring showers
Seizing every enduring hue as you
Admire the fragrance so divine
That once permeated throughout this garden of mine
You seek protection underneath the quilt so intricately weaved
That graces you with the vista of the pale light
To which the tides welcome then wave goodnight
That shelters you from the border of the boundless
Covered with stars that shine
And once blanketed every curve of this garden of mine
You covet that which has already been consumed
As this garden of mine attempts to heal from the locusts that continue to loom
