Silver
When I open my eyes, you are there
Smiling at me
The glimmer of silver at the corner of your eyes
The moon is only at half-mast
My heart is overflowing, crystal and red
With the desire, pouring over the floor,
To reach you
The sun and the moon have embraced your heart
You bring the morning and the night, the warmth and the cold
Oh! To catch you in my arms
Liquid ink lapping at my ankles
Pouring higher to drown and consume
As I hold you closer, closer
When I wake, you offer me a smile
With golden lips that could have been painted
Just with that, with blood
As you stroke my cheek, your skin holds
Glimmering silver
The cool touch of mystery,
The hidden, sunken power of a goddess
