Love is beautiful
Like a flower.
Ever changing and growing.
Sometimes it stays and grows,
Year after year.
Sometimes it needs to be replanted after time has passed.
It must be watered and tended to.
In fortune soil it grows best.
It can sit in a vase for all to see,
But slowly it can die.
It starts with a petals,
Then down to the stem
And leaves.
Finally the roots.
It can be gone so fast you may not see it coming.
You want it to last so long
And sometimes it does.
You hold on as tight as you can
And just hope they're holding too.
