Her Winter
She lies there, body freezing, soul dying.
What was once bright and beautiful,
Is now a discarded old rag doll, to be forgotten.
That’s how he wanted her to feel.
She tries to call for help, but her voice is frozen in this winter wind.
Winter used to be her favorite season.
She sees him watching her from afar.
  Did he cause this?
  He wouldn’t have...would  he?
Would he leave her here, alone?
Winter used to be her favorite season.
  Now it’s deep winter
She can no longer think straight.
There is only cold and frost.
  Which bites at her face
Winter used to be her favorite season.
  Horror froze on her face.
As she could  see his cheshire smile.
If only he would look at her differently
She wishes he’d warm her like he used too.
Winter used to be her favorite season.
He  kisses her hand and tosses it back down.
  He walks away from her.
His single kiss spreads through her
  She loves him
  She can’t help it.
Winter used to be her favorite season.
This is the last warmth for her
For the last time, she watches him leave
Her last breath leaves with him.
His smile burned in her memory.
Winter used to be her favorite season.

This is a two Part poem. Part 1 is called "Her Fall"
