The pain resides in the words that are unspoken
The ones where you don’t say
That you are proud of me
If you did it would make my day
But it's not like you care
The days go on and on
The tears fall and fall
And still
You don't care at all
What will it take?
Do I have to scream and shake?
Do I have to bend over backwards?
I already do all that
And even though you ruined my trust
I still feel that I must
Earn your love
Because I am not enough.
