There are echoes in the pavement,
In the windows, in the halls
There are whispers when the wind blows
Against the sturdy cement walls
And if you take the time to listen
To what their chatter has to say
You will find they tell tell the story
Of the ones who went away
Those who walked these streets before you
Shaped the place where you now stand
Built the town you now call home
Laid every single brick by hand
And some day soon you too
Will be an vibration of the past
So take a moment to consider
How long your echoes will last?
