European Blood
He was young, didn’t have any idea what was going on.
He doesn’t remember much as a baby
As he grew older, he was told by his parents
At first he was excited and eager to know more
He wanted to know who his parents were, but not as much as he wanted to talk to them
Years went on as he finally began talking to them
Around the age of 15, he began to think about the word “Adoption”
He began to ask himself questions about who he was
Another couple of years went by of him questioning himself
At the age of 17, he finally began to accept his adoption
He knows his parents are doing okay, and his adoptive parents love him
This kid is adopted. His name is Alexander, Alex for short. He is adopted from Ukraine, has two sets of parents, and four times the love from them.

I was inspired to write this piece because I am adopted from Romania. I wanted to tel people what it's like being from another country with your non original parents by your side. It is hard, but the wait is worth it.
