Two strangers began to talk

Not the verbal kind of talking, but the written one

They sent letters to each other everyday

Back and forth and back and forth

They seemed to never stop coming and going

When they wrote they didn't just put in time and effort

They put in feelings

They put in emotions

They put in love

A russian woman and an American man

They did not speak the same laguage

But they both understood one language in particular; love

Through translators they learned each other's native languages

Their writing turned into frequent visits

From Russia to America

From America to Russia

The flights were never ending

Back and forth and back and forth

Their love for each other bloomed like a rose

But like every relationship, their rose had some thorns

A day came where the girl decided to leave everything behind

Her family

Her friends

Her job

But she still had love

This love drove her to a country where she experienced a new life

In little to no time, the man popped the question and the woman became a wife

Within a year a little girl was born

This girl grew up in a home filled with various foods, languages, and customs

That girl is me
