tell me
Complications are made
From the deepest depths
Of this moronic humanity
Complications are made
From the dismay in our
Deep and closed off minds.
Because human beings
Do not make such things
So simple.
Because human beings
Are taught from a young age
To keep their heads low
Because human beings
Are taught to not talk about
The storms that linger within their minds
Because human beings
Are taught that these storms
Of blacks and purples are not meant to be heard.
But you and I both know
Storms are not tranquil
Storms are not meant to keep hushed
You and I both know
That these storms
Are simple.
It is simple.
As simple as the rain
That falls from the grey above
As simple as the
Thunder that will always
Be heard at fortissimo
As simple as the
Electric lights that are meant to leave
a small shadow behind your eyes even when its bolt is gone.
So tell me human beings
Why do you feel the need
To keep these storms on such a muted tone
Tell me human beings
Why can’t you open your mouth
And let your words spit out your heart, spit out your mind.
Tell me human beings
Why can't you tell them you
Feel so despondent
Tell me human beings
Why can't you tell her that your colors
Do not agree with hers.
Tell me human beings
Why can't you give him the greatest
Thing you can ever give?
Tell me human beings
Why can't you give your heart to him
Why can't you say “I love you?”
Tell me human beings
Why can't you tell them about
The god you believe in above?
Tell me human beings
Why couldn't you explain
The disrespected answer no
Is it worth it?
Keeping everything on the
Down low?
Is it worth it
Never letting a soul know the power and simplicity
Your storm actually has.
Is it worth it
To never let them know
How you feel.
Is it worth it
When it becomes too late?
Is it worth it to keep the storm inside of you?
Rip yourself apart
Poor exhausted human beings
Until you cannot rip anymore
Human beings, your storms deserves
To be heard by those
Who you hold dear to your heart.
Because complications are made
But these complications you see,
Are not as complicated as you think.
So listen to me diminutive beings,
Let your storm destroy walls and
Break down the doors of broken hearts
And then human beings,
After all is said and done, take a deep breath
And sleep.

by writing this poem something I want people to get out of it is that you should be able to say things that are simple, such as "I love you" or "I need help" or say things that expose how your feeling, instead of making it too complicated. And I think if people were honest about how they feel life woould become a little easier.
