A sunny sky
On this beautiful April afternoon
Making me remember a happy time
How I wish to go back
Back to that day
When my emotions were filled with joy
Excitement was overcoming me
As I sit and stare I realize
Now it is just me and the sky
As hard as I try
I can’t go back to the happy time
But that is okay
Hope fills me
Hope that a time like that will happen again
But until then I have the sky
