Almost Lost
I’m loose,
Hanging by a thread,
Falling out of the cavity I once fit in.
I may have been strong but never permanent,
There for assistance not guidance.
I’d fall out and be replaced by something new,
Like a wiggly tooth.

It's easy to feel disconnected from everything, struggling to still hold on. I thought of this poem when I felt this way, and after I wrote it I felt more powerful. I then knew that I was in control of my feelings and it was up to me to stay grounded.
