I run towards you every single night
I say the same every day, that I will catch you despite
You run away from me, leaving me to wonder why
But every night, from a distance, I tell you goodbye
My solemn friend, sleep, you always escape me
You always slip pass for no one to see
I almost caught you one night
But as I slowly reached you, I began to see the daylight
