3 AM Traffic
The human race has gone
Leaving me driving
Empty streets
I am the only sound in
The universe.
My CD spinning in
Epic machinery
My flywheel making a noise it shouldn't
The headlights in new rain
Remind me
Of Christmastime
And stained glass
Lonely
Simple
No one here to ticket
My speed through red
The rules are mine.
But oh
Look
Another pair of
Lights
Two ships passing in the
Night
Only headlights to know
They carry lonely passengers.
