I wonder what your bedroom looks like,
What sheets you fall asleep in,
Or lie awake on during restless nights,
If sprawled, dirty clothes cover
Carpet stains of your favorite soda,
If family pictures hang on your walls
Or if you’re alone in an empty house
Like the ones I see through foggy
Car windows
With lights off
And paint chipping away
From a broken home.
